Kat, with all the horribleness of being the new kid at Medford Charter School, tries to cope with not fitting in. To make matters worse, Kat struggles with having a loving but “uncool” mom who happens to interact with dead people. Given the possibility that she too may possess this very gift, Kat and her best friend come to terms with their own talents while helping free the spirit of a girl trapped at their school.
